With the new design, overall user experience has improved, making it easier to find information that’s important to you

Coinciding with the expanding ambit of work, the Tata Centre for Development (TCD) at the University of Chicago has launched a new website. As we foray into new territories of research, it becomes even more important to provide an immersive experience to our readers to explore ideas, people, and areas of intervention that define this collaboration between the Tata Trusts and the University of Chicago.

To ensure TCD is meeting its mission of translating research into impact and effectively communicating to the broad audience of policy entrepreneurs, we have opened up several avenues of information through different content types, including blogs, videos, infographics, research briefs, and interviews.

By virtue of having brought together information on projects across multiple disciplines, including water and sanitation, health, education, energy, and environment, it is now easy to get a rounded view of TCD. Consistent site-wide navigation system with improved menu functionality ensures that users have access to a full spectrum of information most relevant to them.

Browse our Research Projects section to get an in-depth look at the work of our UChicago Faculty. Click through our Impact Stories to learn how TCD is taking the work beyond research to have real impact on the ground.

Thanks to the intuitive design, it is now easier to navigate and discover more about what we do, how we do it, and the partners we work with. Moreover, the search functionality has been improved through categorization of information based on content types and domains.

The News section has been given a facelift for better featuring of TCD’s research breakthroughs and media appearances. The Events section not only gives a preview of the upcoming events, but also archives the past events.

Seamless integration of social media platforms into the site experience makes it easier to follow and participate in the global conversation around TCD and the University of Chicago.
