Chaudhuri’s appointment comes at a time when the TCD is expanding its portfolio of development economics research projects and partnerships with government and industry.
“Bringing with her an impressive track record of leading large-scale academic and development programs and securing vital partnership, we are thrilled to have Leni join the team and work to expand the TCD’s impact and reach across India,” says Michael Greenstone, the Director of the TCD and the Milton Friedman Professor in Economics, the College and the Harris School.
Chaudhuri has worked extensively with program strategy and academic grant management. Prior to joining the TCD, she was the Vice President of the Narotam Sekhsaria Foundation where she worked for more than 9 years, translating the vision and mission of the foundation into impactful programs in health, education, livelihoods, governance, and civic issues. She brings many years of experience building strategic networks with academic institutions, governments, and philanthropic organizations.
“Networking between stakeholders and a synergistic role between academia, civil society and government is absolutely critical in bringing about long-lasting change. My aim is to harness the potential of TCD which brings forth the opportunity to link knowledge with action.”
